Mr Frog part 2

Another Mr Frog showed up in our garden. My daughters kissing did however not result in anything but her mothers disgust.

Midsommar

Midsummer just passed and it was a magical bright weekend with sill, dance, dressing the midsommarstång with flowers. Ours didn´t really turn out the way we imagined, it sort of looked like it had sunk into the ground - oh well - I like it personal. Then dance at Boo slott, coffee and cakes at the local hembygdsförening with zillions of ladies in curly grey hair. It was a superb traditional midsommar and now I am prepared for vacation.

Hemslöjd

I went to see this huge Crafts exhibition at Liljevalchs today ... it was truly inspiring, and extremely well exhibited. All these endless hours of needles, yarn, sawdust and stitches. We are celebrating the crafts movement turning a hundred years, and the woman behind it - Zickerman - sure didn´t know how big this would become a century later. She would have liked this, I am sure. Do I need to say that women over 35 were clearly overrepresented? Me and my Mom included. I loved the birch butts in particular.

Opening flowers

The opening yesterday at Sigtunastiftelsen was successful and I am happy it´s over. Now my house is like a pretty flowershop and I love it.

Swedens national day

A sunny day filled with flags, music and icecream. I ran upon these lovely musicians playing old folkmusic. Notice the embroidery on the hat ... when will this ever become trendy again? It sure is a masterpiece of handicraft.

Moonstruck and starstruck

Yesterday evening I joined a participation of Yoko Ono´s piece "Evening til Dawn" meditating over sunset and sunrise at Djurgården. I was both moonstruck cause of the full moon and starstruck to meet Yoko in her petite little being. These pics are from 22 and still light. The birds singing was the prettiest piece. I stayed til midnight but musicians were there to improvise with the sounds of the sunrise at 03. I love this country in June.

Slowly getting ready

The last stadium - in what order shall I hang these characters? Hmm. Supernice to be almost ready. Can´t wait. Opening on Saturday. I sure hope everything is dry by then.
